How do we offer cost-effective interim HR cover?
Right then, let’s cut to the chase!
We’re offering HR interim recruitment for only 12.5% of salary!
Whilst cost isn’t everything, as a small business ourselves we totally get that it’s something you’re certainly going to be interested in.
Our pricing model is bit different to that typically used by most recruitment agencies. We’ve carefully designed it to be fair to everyone, balancing providing you with a cost-effective high-value service, whilst at the same time providing us with reasonable remuneration for the time, effort, and expertise we provide.
Rather than just going for a percentage of salary for an all-or-nothing thing that may or may not happen, we split our HR interim recruitment process into a series of stages, each with clear pricing and a well-defined deliverable.
Each stage is billed when it completes, with a quote then being provided for the following one. This allows you to make an informed decision as to whether or not to precede with the next stage. If you don’t think we’re providing good value, then there’s absolutely no obligation to continue working with us.
This approach allows maximum client flexibility and value-for-money, since you can choose to handle some of the stages yourself, rather than outsourcing them to us. Likewise, the process can be halted or modified at any point, should your business needs change.
Although our pricing model doesn’t determine fees based on a straight percentage of salary, it works out to be the equivalent of only 12.5%. Check out the worked example below to see how we’ve calculated this.
In comparison, other recruitment agencies can typically charge fees starting at 15% and rising to 20% or more, particularly in the case of senior roles, so we think this makes our pricing very competitive.
And we feel that this is particularly the case since we have so much more to offer than the typical recruitment agency in terms of our extensive HR expertise. So, not only will we have a much greater understanding of your HR interim recruitment needs, but we’ll also be able to deliver a much more holistic solution.
How cost-effective is our interim HR cover?
Suppose that we help you recruit a full-time HR interim for a six month contract, on an annual full-time equivalent (FTE) salary of £30,000.
And that we carry out the Foundation and Attraction stages, with the Attraction stage having been quoted at a fixed fee of £905.
Since this role isn’t particularly unusual, the Attraction stage fee is set at our standard rate, such that the total cost for a successful placement at the advertised salary will be the equivalent of only 12.5% of that amount.
Subsequently, you carry out the Selection stage without any further assistance from us, and appoint one of our shortlisted candidates.

So, in this case your total cost would be…
Foundation fee + Attraction fee + Appointment fee
= £595 + £905 + ( 7.5% x £30,000 )
= £595 + £905 + £2,250
= £3,750
Which is equivalent to a straight salary percentage of…
100% x ( Fee / Salary )
= 100% x ( £3,375 / £30,000 )
= 12.5%
